UEFA Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 5th December 2017
Kick-off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: Celtic Park, Glasgow.
Celtic are already eliminated from the Champions League, but they go through to the Europa League knockout phase by avoiding a defeat on Tuesday night.
Anderlecht lost all their 5 games in the campaign so far. They can still make it to the Europa League, but this is only possible with a win by 4 goal margin at Glasgow.
Celtic's lone win in the campaign came at Anderlecht on matchday 2 by a massive 3-0 margin. They lost the remaining four games and conceded 17 goals against 1 scored. The 7-1 loss at PSG last time is one of their heaviest defeat in the competition.
Anderlecht lost to Bayern Munich 1-2 in their last round fixture. This was the first time that they managed to score a goal in the current campaign. Meanwhile, they conceded 17 goals, same as what Celtic let in.
This is the second time the teams are grouped together at the Champions League. Back in 2003/04, Bayern were also in their group along with a French side Lyon. The teams finished level on 7 points then, but it was Celtic who made it to the Europa League leaving Anderlecht at the foot of the table.
