French Ligue 1
Date: Sunday, 3rd December 2017
Kick off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Stade de la Mosson (Montpellier).
This season for Montpellier has all been about how their defensive structure works and for that they have been the most successful team in Ligue 1. The club have conceded just 8 goals all season which is the best record in the league. However the downside to that is they have only scored 12 goals, only Caen and bottom placed Metz have scored fewer.
Still Montpellier find themselves in 7th place and come into this huge game against Marseille on a run of 4 games without defeat. At home they have recorded some impressive results such as their 0-0 draw over PSG. They have conceded just 4 goals at Stade de la Mosson all season, and only Nantes with 3 conceded has a better record.
Marseille have become the nearest challengers to PSG, and sit in 2nd place but the catch is that they are a massive 10 points behind the champions-elect. The club are in rich form having gained 13 points from their last 15. Away from home they have lost just once this season and have the joint best away record alongside PSG.
